Top of the line Don Melchor is made by Concha Y Toro, in Puente Alto, Maipo Valley, Chile, since 1987. Concha Y Toro has been there since 1883. Concha Y Toro, now belongs to Banfi Vintners.   (114 hectares) Grown on 20+ year old vines, the average blend is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc.

                      The general consenses was that the 2003, 2006 and 2007 vintage were the clear winners.

              The 2000 was cloudy but drinkable. The 2002 had off aromas and flavors. The other 6 were great.
